🐟 What is Ikan Bakar?

Ikan Bakar means “grilled fish” in both Malay and Indonesian, but this dish is far more than just fish on a grill. At Tokasu, we use whole, fresh fish marinated in a richly spiced blend of lemongrass, galangal, turmeric, chilies, tamarind juice, and garlic.

Grilled over high heat, the fish develops a beautiful smoky char while staying tender and juicy inside. It’s served with a generous helping of rice, sambal, lime, and cucumber to balance the spice. Our signature green sambal is fiery, citrusy, and just the right kind of addictive.


🍗 What is Ayam Bakar?

Ayam Bakar translates to “grilled chicken,” but again, this dish is anything but ordinary. Our halal chicken is marinated in a coconut milk-based spice paste with a perfect balance of sweet, savoury, and smoky flavours.
